Brian and I are finally leaving for our much anticipated trip to Asia. We have officially booked our flight into New Delhi for March 30th and we hope to not return until March of 2013. We plan to spend around a month in India, traveling mainly throughout the Southern region.
From India we will fly North to Nepal to do a 24 day hike to the base of Everest. We will reach 18,000 feet! The Gokyo trek looks the most promising, it's an alternative to the Everest Base Camp trek, but supposedly it's not as crowded.
After our month in Nepal we will then fly to Southeast Asia. Most likely we will hit Vietnam first and then travel by train or bus through Laos and Thailand ending our trip in Cambodia. We hope to stay in Cambodia for 6 months doing volunteer work. I have been looking into teaching English in Phnom Penh and Brian has been looking at volunteering in hospitals.
We are very excited to start our trip since we have been planning and saving since we graduated in 2010! Keep checking out the blog. We will try and update it as much as we can.
